HULU TERENGGANU: Deputy Communication and Multimedia Minister,  Datuk Jailani Johari yesterday denied claims that Malaysia, China and Australia had differences regarding the mission to search for missing Malaysia Airlines (MAS) Flight MH370.

He said such negative speculation spread in western and social media were inaccurate as the three countries were in close cooperation in the mission.

“In fact, four sub-committees were formed by the governments namely the Asset Assignment Committee, Technical and Logistics Committee, Beneficiary Committee and the Communication and Media Committee to ensure orderly and accurate dissemination of information.

“I have just held a four-eye meeting with my counterpart from China in Beijing, last week and they appreciated Malaysia’s commitment and open approach in the search mission,” he said.

He told this to reporters after presenting rubber price fall special assistance to 300 rubber smallholders here yesterday.

On the various negative speculation on MH370 over the social media including the latest one that the aircraft was still safe in a secret location, Jailani said such stories were made up by parties out to gain popularity with sensational news. — Bernama
