Police raided dice gambling in forest

MARTAPURA, South Kalimantan: Karang Intan Sector Police, Banjar District, raided dice gambling arena involving several men in the woods coincides sahoor on Sunday, Antaranews reported.

The Karang Intan Sector Police Chief Ipda Joko Setiawan in Martapura said the raid was conducted after they received information related to dice gambling in the forest.

“Picket members received information about a dice gambling in the jungle village of Mali-Mali, around 04.30 am, and it is true when raided,” said the police chief who was accompanied by Aiptu Suwarji, Police Public Relations Section.

He said a number of Criminal unit officers who raided the dice gambling arena managed to secure one player initials MY (32), but some others escaped.

In addition to securing the farmer, MY, officers secured the evidence of stalls or pedestal, a plate and some cash.

According to him, the suspect was charged with violating Article 303 bis of the Criminal Code junto 303 for dice gambling a criminal offense with a penalty of one year in prison and could be arrested.

He explained, gambling is one crime that the police concern because it is quite disturbing and should be eradicated.
