SIBU: A woman cleaner was killed instantly when a big bike knocked into her while she was crossing a road around 4pm yesterday.

Malaya Blang, 52, from Kapit was returning to her Sibu Jaya home with a woman colleague after work at a shopping mall in Tunku Abdul Rahman Road when the tragedy struck.
They were walking across the road to wait for a bus when the big bike allegedly hit Malaya.
The colleague said she did not see how Malaya was hit because Malaya was walking behind her.
The 24-year-old big bike rider fell from his machine and suffered grazes on his arms and legs and sustained injury to his spinal cord.
