A fast-track model for a New Zealand Qualification

The major of Business Information and Systems has a sought-after future in the NZ job market. Graduates can do jobs as ICT project manager, information officer and information technology manager, all of which are well included in the job classification list of the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO).

The ‘Information Age’ provides great career opportunities for many. Terms like information technology (IT), IS and digital technologies (DT) are often used interchangeably. Business Information Systems is the point where business studies and information technology meet.

Studying Business Information Systems, you will learn how to discover what information people need to do their job, how they need it presented, and when they need it.

This three year course will only take two years at NorthTec’s Auckland campus, under their fast-track model, and they also offer six intakes per year; January, March, May, July, September and November.

The entry requirements for a business course at NorthTec require students to have: IELTS 6.0, no band less than 5.5 and a High school diploma with B average from an approved institution.
