Banjarmasin prepares Rp42 M for large rivers

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: Banjarmasin City Government through the Water Resources Agency (SDA) has allocated Rp42 billion to implement the program activities of major rivers during 2014, Antaranews reported.

There are five areas of activity during 2014 that must be implemented for large rivers, said Head of SDA Banjarmasin, Ir Muryanta here on Sunday.

Among the activities referred to in the implementation of normalization and large river dredging worth Rp 3,8 billion, then rehabilitation or maintenance of large rivers as examples Martapura River which divides the city and has a value of Rp2 billion.

Other events are Martapura river bank revitalization and restructuring among the area of Jalan RK Ilir, Jalan Sungai Baru and Jalan Sudirman, precisely front of the headquarters of Korem worth Rp29,2 billion, he said.

In addition, there is also the procurement and land acquisition program in the form of land and buildings for the manufacture of embankment (siring) projects with a value of Rp2,8 billion and the construction of infrastructure and facilities Rp5 billion, all of the sector’s major rivers to cost Rp42, 8 billion.

As for the small river budgeted Rp9,9 billion, includes planning and monitoring arrangement streams (consultant) Rp300 million, the implementation of a small river normalization Rp4,04 billion, rehabilitation or maintenance of a small river Rp5,05 billion.

Other activities are the manufacture of small streams and rivers installation of concrete poles Rp295 million and Rp255 million tripikon installation, said Muryanta.
