KUCHING: Sarawak Women Visionary Entrepreneurs Association (Saranita) led by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Nancy Shukri visited the Sarawak General Hospital Children’s Cancer Ward on Sunday as part of their yearly activities to bring cheer to the children ahead of the Raya festivity.
Nancy later led the Saranita group to visit one of their members, Maggie Kiung at her residence at Mile 13.

Maggie is on the road to recovery having been treated for breast cancer. She was a very active Saranita committee member for the period 2000 to 2013.
A very talented cook especially in Orang Ulu dishes, Maggie has also gone on television to showcase Orang Ulu cuisine.
Not one to sit back on her laurels, Maggie has a part-time business baking cakes for sale to supplement the family income. Her fruit cakes and “Hati Parek” are well known and highly sought after.
