BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Ministry of Development (MoD) being a dynamic organisation that contributed to the realisation of the National Vision by 2035 is required to take the initiatives toward improving its services to the public in general and to the stakeholders with relevant interest in the ministry, Brudirect reported.

The call was made by the Minister of Development at the Quality Control Circle Convention of the ministry and its subordinating departments.

Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awg Hj Suyoi Hj Osman said that it is prerogative for the ministry to make changes, especially when it comes to practicing a method into a culture, or implementing a task and responsibility. He called on the officers and staff members to be ready to answer challenges outside their comfort zone, and accept positive changes.

Eight teams representing four departments presented their project at the convention. The Yaqiin Team came out in first place with their project titled “Numbering Information of Road Junction is Less Efficient”. Second place went to the project titled “Unsystematic Management of Data” presented by G-Tech Team while CORS Team came third.

All the three winners represented the Survey Department and they will represent the ministry at the National QCC Convention to be held sometime in September. Among those present at this event were the Permanent Secretaries and their Deputies.
