KUCHING: The Crocs registered a 4-4 draw against Indonesian second division side Villa 2000 FC last Sunday.

The match, the first for the team’s training stint in Indonesia, was played at the Sutasoma Army Headquarters Stadium.

The Crocs are in Jakarta for a week.

The visitors were 3-0 up by half-time thanks to a brace by captain Joseph Kalang Tie and Ryan Griffiths (a goal in each half).

But the homesters fought back to score their first in the 48th minute and eventually drew level two minutes from the final whistle.

The second half also allowed Sarawak to make substitutions which saw goalkeeper Mohd Fadzley Rahim, Muhammad Dzulfadli Awg Marajeh, Ashri Chuchu, Dzulazlan Ibrahim, Mazwandi Zakeria and Daglish Papin Test in action.

The Crocs will next face Persebaya Surabaya at the Jatidiri Stadium today (July 23).

Coach Robert Alberts told The Borneo Post yesterday that everything was going well according to plan in Jakarta.

“The team is in good spirits as we are having a very positive training camp here. All is fine here.”

Sarawak is preparing for the Malaysia Cup tournament starting on Aug 13.
