KUCHING: This year’s Hari Raya celebration will be one that’s extra special for the children of Kompleks Kebajikan Laila Taib, thanks to charitable efforts from KPJ Kuching Specialist Hospital.

The hospital had recently brought the excited children, aged between nine and 17, to a day of shopping at a boutique at Jalan Satok where they were given the opportunity to select a new ‘baju Raya’ of their choice while accompanied by the management team of KPJ.
“This event is mainly an effort to bring joy to the children by contributing ‘baju Raya’ for their upcoming Hari Raya celebrations,” said the hospital’s general manager Mohd Hafiz Zaini in a press statement.
Meanwhile, the officer in-charge of Kompleks Kebajikan Laila Taib, Ustaz Mohd Salleh Hamden also took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the hospital and its management team for hosting them and bringing happiness to the children.
Apart from shopping, the children later broke fast and performed prayers together with their hosts, who also presented them with some ‘duit Raya’.
