According to Benjamin Gersit who is one the Anglican’s church PCC members, the grant was promised by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak last year.

“We need at least RM450,000 to expand our church as it has been overcrowded for quite some time now. This certainly helps a lot for our cause and we are indeed grateful for this kindness,” he said.

The PCC members received the grant in a form of a cheque which was handed over by Deputy Home Affairs Minister Datuk Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar.
