PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia is stepping up diplomatic efforts and using all possible channels to ensure the remains of those who perished in the ill-fated Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 aircraft are treated with respect and dignity, and repatriated soonest possible.
Foreign Ministry secretary-general Datuk Othman Hashim said the country was vigorously working with other governments to ensure they were able to recover, identify and repatriate the remains of the passengers and crew members to the respective countries and loved ones.
He was speaking to reporters at the ministry’s Iftar here yesterday. — Bernama
