KUCHING: Three weeks into the Ramadan month, BCCK has attracted more than 10,000 diners to its much talked about Ramadan Buffet.

Its press release issued yesterday revealed that the yearly buffet is a favourite for families breaking their fast, and also for individuals getting together with their friends.

More and more corporations have also opted to make BCCK’s Ramadan Buffet a form of their corporate entertainment and CSR activities.

BCCK executive sous chef Binyas Suem and his culinary team have been on the ground since the Ramadan buffet was rolled out on July 1 in BCCK’s Great Hall, to ensure the buffet line is well-tended and hear from diners personally.

He shared the customers’ feedback received based on interactions with diners most evenings.

“While the vast array of tantalising dishes underlies the buffet’s popularity, our Great Hall ensures comfortable dining for our diners. Families with young children appreciate that they can dine with us and be assured of the safety and security accorded by our facilities to their children. Our Great Hall has sufficient room for young children to move around with ease.

“Three factors – great food, space and ambience – make BCCK’s Ramadhan Buffet a name amongst households and also companies, corporations and government agencies looking to host dinners for their business associates and staff.”

“Variety and quality are keys to the success of BCCK’s Ramadhan Buffet. Whole roast lambs, and poached prawns and mussels on ice remain perennial favourites with diners while BCCK’s very own homemade smoked mackerels and salmon gravlax now roll off diners’ tongues since they have savoured these two tasty cold selections,” Chef Binyas added.

Thirteen live action stalls have been set up to serve hot-off-the-pan delicacies such as shawarmas.

The traditional bubur pedas and bubur lambuk, prepared three ways (beef, chicken and seafood) have also claimed their spot on the list of must-try.

Children find the chocolate fountain a delight as they dip fruit skewers and butter cookies into ever-flowing melted chocolate.

BCCK’s Ramadhan Buffet is currently served nightly between 6.30 pm and 10pm daily till July 25.

“We are looking forward to presenting greater Ramadan offerings next year, bearing in mind the feedback received from our guests,” said Chef Binyas.
