BETONG: An airbag was said to have saved a man during a road accident about 11.45am yesterday at Km7 Jalan Simpang Betong.

According to an eye witness, the car appeared to have lost control, crashed into a signboard and then into a tree before turning over, activating the airbag system.
The victim from Serembang, Spaoh was heading towards Maktab Rendah Sain Mara (MRSM) here to fetch his child. The victim was said to have suffered chest injuries.
The victim got out from the vehicle by breaking the window and was sent to hospital. The driver was fortunate that his car did not crash into the roadside drain but into the tree, said the eye-witness.
