UCSI University scholarships offered to SPM or STPM students with excellent academic achievements

Students who received scholarships and financial assistance in the May 2014 intake.

KUCHING: UCSI University is giving out RM15 million worth of bursaries and financial assistance to students who excel in examinations.

The scholarships are provided by the university annually to drive students to continuously do well in their respective fields throughout their learning journey at UCSI University.

There are three major scholarships available for the students at UCSI University: UCSI University Trust Scholarship, Tan Sri Ahmad Razali Merit Scholarship and UCSI University Trust Sport Bursary.

UCSI University Trust Scholarships are mainly for students who have done well academically in SPM or STPM examinations and are enrolled with any of the foundation and degree programmes.

Tan Sri Ahmad Razali (TSAR) Merit Scholarship Award is offered to students with excellent academic achievements and exemplary leadership attributes by participating in extracurricular activities and had received outstanding recognition for notable achievements. The UCSI University Trust Sports Bursary is open to state or national athletes enrolled at the university.

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences offer up to 60 per cent waiver in tuition fees, subject to academic and extracurricular achievements.

UCSI University also offers Pre-U scholarship for qualifying students.

All SPM students would be given a chance to enjoy up to 20 per cent tuition fee waiver under the Education Assist Scheme for diploma and foundation studies programmes with minimum entry requirement of five credits and five Bs in the SPM.

UCSI University also provides financial assistance up to 50 per cent waiver of tuition fees to lower-income families.

UCSI University offers foundation studies and Hospitality and Tourism programmes, Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing, Optometry, Engineering, Architecture, Food Science and Nutrition, Biotechnology, Psychology, Mass Communication, Fashion Design, Management, Accounting and Finance, Music, Business Administration, Marketing, Business Information System and many more.
