Lemang seller Ramli Hasim, 48, shows bamboo tubes already lined with banana leaves at his stall at the old Paroi Camp site in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. He said he would cook about 4,000 bamboo tubes of lemang every Hari Raya for sale at his stall he names ‘Gerai Dek Ari’. To make the lemang he usually prepares about 1,000kg of glutinous rice with the help of family members. Each tube of lemang is sold between RM10 and RM14 depending on the size. Apart from making sales at the stall, he also gets orders from the local people. — Bernama photo
