KUCHING: A man from Kampung Gersik lodged a police report against his son after the latter allegedly stole and sold various items from home and also threatened to harm family members.
The incident occurred on Thursday when the man and his wife arrived back home to discover various household items, such as standing fans, an oven, as well as clothing and batik cloth, were missing.
After confronting their 26-year-old son over the matter, the couple learned that he had sold the items along with a laptop and three mobile phones belonging to his mother.
To make matters worse, the son demanded money from his mother and threatened to harm her and others in the house if they refused to give him the money.
Fearing for the safety of his family, the father decided to leave the matter in the hands of the police and made a report later the same evening.
