KUCHING: The Kuching Division Basketball Association (KDBA) will organise a three on three basketball competition next month.
According to KDBA secretary Raymond Teo, the tournament will introduce a new age category for Boys Under-21.
“Before this, this tournament was only opened to the boys of the U-18, U-15 and U-12 age categories. We hope with the addition to the new category, it will be exciting this year,” Teo said.
He also revealed that there will be a category for Girls Under-21.
The tournament enters its eighth year since it was first held in 2008.
This year’s edition is jointly organised by the KDBA and the Boulevard Shopping Mall. It will be held for two day (Aug 16 and 23) over two weekends at the Boulevard Shopping Mall outdoor carpark from 10.30am to 2.30pm.
A three point shooting contest will also be held on both dates.
Each team can only register one divisional or state player.
Entries close on Aug 4.
