The van that completely destroyed by the fire.
KOTA KINABALU: It was a case of spontaneous combustion when a van cruising on the road near the train station here suddenly burst into flames yesterday.
It was learnt that the driver, in his 50s, was travelling from Kepayan to Kota Kinabalu after purchasing vegetables around 1.30pm when he noticed black smoke coming out of his vehicle.
He immediately stopped by the roadside and as he was about to inspect the vehicle, it burst into flames.
By the time the Fire and Rescue Department personnel arrived, the van was already engulfed in flames and completely destroyed.
