LUBOK ANTU: No threat to national security has been detected at the Sarawak-Kalimantan Barat border.

Third Infantry Brigade commander Brig Gen Datuk Mohd Nazir Mami said the overall security situation at the border is manageable.

“However we (still) have to increase our cooperation with various government agencies who are also involved in controlling the border,” he said during a breaking of fast ceremony at Lubok Antu Army Camp on Sunday.

Mohd Nazir said special focus would be given to improving relationships between Malaysia and Indonesia.

During the function, lemang, satay and ketupat were distributed to personnel from the Malaysian and Indonesian armies.

Mohd Nazir advised army personnel to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri in a joyful spirit although they had to be away from their families in order to protect the security of their respective nations.
