S. Koreans among visitors at Awang Tengah’s open house

LAWAS: South Koreans were among thousands of visitors turning up at the Hari Raya open house of Second Minister of Resource Planning and Environment

The delegation of three was from a South Korea conglomerate with an interest to invest in Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE) in Samalaju Industrial Park in Bintulu.

Awang Tengah, who is also Minister of Industrial Development and Minister of Public Utilities, treated the visitors to local delicacies while exchanging views on a prospective investment in the final stage of conclusion.

He said the state government welcomed foreign investments in the state in its industrialisation drive, particularly in SCORE.

Over 15,000 from all walks of life visited the two-day Raya open house.

Other visitors included Limbang MP Hasbi Habibolah and his Lawas counterpart Datuk Henry Sum Agong, former Bukit Mas MP Mutang Tagal and visitors from Brunei, Sabah and Sarawak.

Bukit Sari PBB office-bearers presented a Raya cake to Awang Tengah, who is also the branch chairman.
