Family members grieving after the charred remains of the victim was found yesterday.

PUTATAN: A 50-year-old man was burnt to death inside his home which was destroyed by fire along with four other houses at Kampung Seri Pandan, near here early yesterday morning.
The charred remains of Kadir Ghani was found in the living room of his house by Fire and Rescue Services Department at around 4.20 am.
The 3am fire also destroyed four other houses that were built close to each other.
Fire and Rescue Services Department public relations officer Senior Assistant Superintendent Mohd Affendy Ramin said a distress call was received at 3.14am and three fire engines with 15 personnel were immediately dispatched to the scene.
He said the houses were completely destroyed in the fire and Fire and Rescue Services Department personnel found the victim抯 body in the living room while carrying out further investigation.
“He managed to control the blaze by 4am and found the victim抯 body inside one of the living rooms. We immediately informed the police of the discovery, and the victim’s body was taken to hospital for a post-mortem,” he said, adding that the cause of the fire was still under investigation.
