PUTRAJAYA: A complaint has been lodged to the Registrar of Societies (ROS) in connection with the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) 2014 election in eight party branches in Sarawak, namely Miri, Lanang, Limbang, Mas Gading, Saratok, Selangau, Sibuti and Lawas.

The complaint against the election process which was conducted last April was lodged by Miri PKR branch member Hisham Haworth @ Hashim at the ROS office here.

It was related to several objections and fraud that allegedly took place during the election, including voters who could not vote because they were said to have voted and unsuitable voting venues as they belonged to one of the candidates.

Former Johor PKR strategic director Nor Azman Hashim said grassroots party members were disappointed because the complaint was previously forwarded to the main election committee but no action or feedback had been received so far.

Hence, he said the move to report the matter to ROS was taken to give a clear signal to the party leadership to struggle for real reformation.

He said the election was held more than three months ago but no decision on the matter had been made.

“We criticise the party not because we don’t love the party but to improve it,” he told reporters. — Bernama
