KUALA LUMPUR: The Registrar of Societies (ROS) has summoned a Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) representative to the office on Aug 28, said PKR vice-president Tian Chua.

He told Bernama ROS had written to request PKR disciplinary board chairman Datuk Dr Tan Kee Kwong to be present at the ROS headquarters in Putrajaya.

“We believe it is over a complaint against the party lodged by (Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul) Khalid (Ibrahim),” he said.

Meanwhile, PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil said in a statement sent via SMS that a team headed by ROS director of enforcement ASP Akmal Yahya met with Dr Tan at the PKR headquarters in Petaling Jaya yesterday.

“At that meeting, ASP Akmal informed that a meeting arranged for tomorrow had been postponed to Aug 28, 2014, at 10am at the ROS office in Putrajaya,” he said.

He said Dr Tan would be accompanied by lawyer R Sivarasa, who is also a member of the PKR Central Leadership Council, to the meeting.

Khalid, who was expelled from PKR on Aug 9, had lodged a complaint to seek ROS’ investigation to determine whether the decision of the PKR disciplinary board and PKR central leadership council had violated the party constitution. — Bernama
