KUCHING: Russell Lim Jian Liang and Alexis Jap Hsiao Tding will be vying for the national title at the Malaysia Open DanceSport Championship to be held at the JB Convention & Exhibition Centre, Berjaya Waterfront Hotel, Johor Bahru on Aug 24.
Trained by Sabah-based John Chong, the duo will participate in the Grade A National Closed Standard and Malaysia Open Standard events.
The press statement from Sarawak Dancesport Association also stated that local dancers Randell Lim and Cindy Chung who had finished third in a recent national event, will not be competing in the coming JB event.
Over three hundred dancers from Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Macau, Hong Kong, Japan, China, Korea, Kazakhstan and Australia have confirmed participation in the championship.
