KAPIT: The Kapit Badminton Association will hold the referee/umpire Level I and Level II training courses and the Age Group and Kapit Open for Men, Women and Veteran tournaments this month and Sept.
This was disclosed by the association’s chairman, David Chu last night after chairing the meeting with the organising committee.
Chu said the courses would be held at the Red Crescent conference room here over this weekend starting today.
The facilitator is a senior international referee from Kuala Lumpur Yap Tee Loi.
A total of 21 people including four from Song District will attend the courses.
A welcoming dinner will be held at TEKAM restaurant tomorrow.
Chu added that the Age Group Badminton Competitions would be held from Sept 5 to 7. There will be two categories the U15 years and U18 years for boys and girls.
The registration fee is RM 10 ringgit per person the closing date is Aug 30.

The Kapit Badminton Closed Competitions will be held from Sept 26 to 28.
It will be divided into men’s and women’s doubles and men’s veteran doubles, men’s singles.
Entry fees are RM20 for women’s singles, men’s singles RM25,men’s doubles RM40, RM30 for women’s doubles, men’s veteran doubles RM40.
The closing date is Sept 21.
