Encorp joins rank of best companies to work for by HR Asia

KUCHING: Encorp Bhd (Encorp) was selected as one of the employers of choice by the prestigious HR Asia Best Companies To Work For 2014 Awards.

According to a press release, Mohd Ibrahim Masrukin, acting group chief executive officer of Encorp accepted the award at an enchanting gala awards dinner held at Ballroom of Sheraton Imperial Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

Officiated by Tan Sai Hup, the chief operating officer of Business Media International (BMI), the yearly awards ceremony saw the coming together of leading human resource (HR) experts from all over the industry, to celebrate the Asian companies who have exhibited exceptionality in their HR business practices.

Speaking at the gala, Mohd Ibrahim shared, “We are extremely proud to have been selected as one of the best employers to work for in the region by HR Asia.

“Our employees are one of our most important resources, and drives the success of all our projects.

“We are thankful to the judges for making us part of their selection, and are committed to continue to uphold the best HR and business practices possible.”

The HR Asia Best Companies to Work For 2014 Awards is jointly organised by BMI, who are responsible for producing HR Asia, the most authoritative publication for senior HR professionals in the region, as well as Mercer, which is a global consulting leader in talent, health, retirement, and investments.

Over 30 other companies across the region made the list alongside Encorp this year, representing the best employers in Asia from the aspect of HR practices and policy.

Encorp was incorporated as a private limited company in 2000 and consequently was listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia in 2003. Encorp is primarily an investment holding company, and is currently engaged in property development and construction activities primarily in Malaysia and Australia.

Encorp develops high-quality residential and commercial properties, as well as undertakes construction contracts in the areas of mass housing, high rise buildings and infrastructure works.
