Visuals to help M’sians remember MH17, MH370 tragedies

KUALA LUMPUR: Visuals with the words ‘Always In My Heart’ and ‘Always Remembered’ are installed at the archway in Jalan Syed Putra Kuala Lumpur-Petaling Jaya, as a sign of remembrance to all the victims of the Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flights MH17 and MH370 tragedy.

Libroff Media Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Maarof Rahman said the initiative was a sign to honour the victims and their family members as well as to express the sadness of Malaysians for the tragedy and in conjunction with tomorrow’s Day of National Mourning.

“Every year, at this time, we will display advertisements for the 1Malaysia campaign in the archway in conjunction with Independence Day but this time it is for the tragedy victims.

“All the 298 flight MH17 victims will always be in the hearts of Malaysians forever and this visual will be held until this December,” he told a news conference here yesterday.

On the opposition direction towards Kuala Lumpur, the visual to remember the flight MH370 passengers who are still being searched, it expresses Malaysians’ remembrance for the mysterious tragedy with the words, ‘Always Remembered.’

“All the 239 passengers of flight MH370 will also be remembered by Malaysians as long as their remains are not found and this shows we still have hopes of them returning,” he said.

According to its general manager, Faisal Mohd Salleh the rational behind the visual of a heart on both sides of the archway symbolised all Malaysians who were of one heart and the white dots in the form of a heart that of the tragedy victims.

“We believe that whatever happens, Malaysians will always stand united and will face all hardship together, that is why the heart shape is so suitable,” he said.

The archway at the federal highway near Wisma Belia was installed in 2010 to display the 1Malaysia concept and racial unity advertisements.
