Narcotics agency captures drug dealers

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: The National Narcotics Agency of South Kalimantan arrested two alleged couriers and inter-provincial drug dealers and confiscated 247 ecstasy pills, Antaranews reported.

“The arrest was at Jalan Padat Karya, Anggrek Complex, Sungai Andai, North Banjarmasin, Wednesday (20/8),” said Head of BNN Chief of Eradication AKBP Sujono on Friday.

The two male suspects were part of the inter-provincial network.

“Two hundred and forty-seven ecstasy pills were seized from them as evidence,” he said.

The two detained suspects are Silfanur aka Ambon, resident at Jalan Bali, and Mila, resident of Sungai Andai. They were apprehended by undercover officers.

The suspects are expected to be charged under Section 112 Sub 114 paragraph (2) of Law No. 35 of 2009 on Narcotics, that carries a minimum sentence of 5 years imprisonment.
