LIMBANG: Police busted two more cyber gambling dens here last weekend as they intensified their ‘Ops Dadu’ operation to rid the district of cyber gambling.

In the latest operation, a total of 11 computer sets believed to be installed with online gambling software were seized.

Limbang police chief Supt Moh Bukhori Saffai said two local men believed to be caretakers of the premises were arrested during the raid.

“A team of police from Crime Investigation Department led by Insp Kantharuban Rajoo carried out the ‘Ops Dadu’ operation on Saturday night at a premises located at Jalan Wong Tsap En and confiscated five computer sets along with cash totalling RM109.

“Meanwhile, another suspected illegal online gambling premises located at Sungai Kudong area was busted, where six computer sets installed with gambling software and cash amounting to RM53 were seized,” he told reporters yesterday.

Both men were brought to Limbang Police Headquarters for further investigation. The case will be investigated under Section 4B (a) Open House Gambling Act, 1953.
