KUCHING: Renowned bedding manufacturer Vono has launched its special-edition pink ‘Flora.My’ mattress to support the ‘Pink Ribbon’ cancer awareness campaign.

The campaign, running between Aug 23 and Oct 31, aims at raising funds for the National Cancer Council (Makna).
On Vono’s part, it will sell 300 ‘Flora.My’ mattresses through its distributor, Perabot Bahagia, at 17 outlets in Klang Valley.
Moreover, Vono will donate RM38 from every sale of ‘Flora.My’ mattress throughout the campaign period to Makna.
“Vono would like to highlight healthcare to the public and at the same time, support the cancer survivors through the Pink Ribbon campaign,” said Hilding Anders Malaysia marketing manager Sim Soo Chia.
Employees of Vono and Perabot Bahagia would also come together in supporting this year’s Pink Ribbon. The collaboration between the two companies and Makna on raising cancer awareness among the public as well as gathering funds to assist financially-challenged cancer patients.
The campaign, which was launched on Aug 23 at Perabot Bahagia, Seksyen 9, Shah Alam, also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer.
At the event, there were free clinical breast examination and mammograms for the public, as well as a free health talk.
The crowds were entertained by Maya Karin, who is also Vono’s ambassador.
The actress-singer shared her knowledge on healthy lifestyle and tips on choosing the right mattress for a better sleep.
