The company which started as an insurance company back in 1975 have pushed to change its image since two years ago to adapt to new lifestyle changes and the ever-changing target market.

The recent refurbishment of Everrise BDC continues that momentum and provides further enhancement to the company’s services.

“By next year, the rebranding and market repositioning exercise would have reached maturity and we will continue to up-the-ante by introducing better retail concept and improved offerings. For Everrise, this rebranding and market repositioning is a challenging but worthwhile and necessary exercise.

“We are constantly learning, observing, tweaking and taking calculated risks as we go along,” said Jeffrey Sia, executive director for the company yesterday.

The RM10 million refurbishment which includes structural upgrade and cosmetic enhancement was carried out over a period of six months.

The new Everrise BDC boasts over 80,000 square feet of gross floor area making it more spacious and features a new lifestyle experience.

Since the soft opening two weeks ago, the new refurbished establishment has registered a sales increase of 306 per cent compared to the same time last year.

Additionally, Everrise will also be crossing borders and expanding into the Sabah market by the end of 2014 with two branches planned out at Imago Mall and Pacificity Kota Kinabalu.

Sia noted that the company’s positioning in the mid-upper Sabah market is complementary with existing players.

“We think we have something different to offer and there are presence of new platforms for us to showcase out offerings.”
