Man found slashed to death in Tawau factory

TAWAU: The body of a man with slash wounds was found in the bush inside an old wood factory at Mile 4, Kampung Hidayat.

District police chief ACP Awang Besar Dullah said the body was found by a member of the public who reported to the police.

He said the victim was in his 30s and police had not identified the victim yet.

Awang Besar said the victim, who was fully clothed and clad in short blue jeans, had wounds on the face and the neck.

His hands and soles were slashed and a short sheathed samurai sword was found.

He said based on the body’s condition ebing full of ants, police believed the victim had died more than 12 hours.

The body was sent to hospital for investigation.
