MIRI: A 49-year-old mother implores her 14 year-old daughter Marylyne Fazlin Legai, reported missing on Sunday night, to come home.

Semambu and her youngest daughter are accompanied by a relative (left) outside the Central Station.

A police report was lodged at Miri Central Police Station around 11am on Monday by the mother Semambu Nila.

Semambu, a housewife, told The Borneo Post that she noticed Marylyne was no longer in her room around 9pm on Sunday.

“We did not expect her to run away as the day before she was so excited to go with me and other family members for the Malaysia Day countdown,” Semambu said.

Marylyne is the eldest of two siblings.
