2,985 homes makeover for South Kalimantan

PELAIHARI, South Kalimantan: Assistant Deputy for Self-Help Housing Evaluation of Public Housing Ministry (Kemenpera) Khairuddin Thabrani said, South Kalimantan get 2,985 homes makeover quota this year, spread across five districts, Antaranews reported.

He pointed out that after the handing over self-help housing stimulant in the District of Tanah Laut (Tala), in the Sarantang Saruntung hall of the Regent office in Pelaihari, 65 km east of Banjarmasin on Wednesday.

Five districts in South Kalimantan which receive house renovation assistance in the form of grant from Kemenpera are South Hulu Sungai (HSS), Balangan, Tala, Barito Kuala (Batola) and Banjar.

According to him, in 2015 the share of house renovation through Kemenpera grants will be increased. The field data collection has been done. Which districts will receive assistance not known. “But Tala is certain,” he said.

Specially for Tala, in 2014 a grant assistance is for 238 units of house, and in 2015 grant assistance planned to be 600 units. 450 units have already recorded and the remainder expected to be completed in the near future.

Each of the family had the house renovation grant Rp7.5 million in the form of goods and work wages. Makeover is required to complete not long than two months after the funds disbursed directly to the recipient’s account.
