BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: His Majesty the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to receive in audience The President of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group, His Excellency Dr Ahmad Md Ali at the Istana Nurul Iman, ©BRUDIRECT.COM reported.
His Excellency Dr Ahmad Md Ali is currently in Brunei Darussalam for the launch of the IDB Group Day and Regional Lecture Series on Islamic Economics, Finance and Banking. This year the IDB Group celebrated the 40th Anniversary of its establishment.
Accompanying His Excellency at the audience ceremony was the Director General of Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI) Professor Azmi Omar and the Acting Director of IDB Regional Office in Kuala Lumpur, Mr Kunrat Wirasubrata.
Also present was the Second Minister of Finance at the Prime Minister’s Office, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Hj Abd Rahman Hj Ibrahim.
