South Kalimantan police uncovered drug trafficking

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: South Kalimantan Police managed to dismantle drug trafficking and confiscated 1.4 kilograms of crystal meth and 2,817 ecstasy pills, Antaranews reported.

South Kalimantan Police chief Brigjen Machfud Arifin told reporters, here on Wednesday, illicit goods dealer is a man named Ahmadi (41) and a woman.

Police arrested suspects in Complex Bakti Karya II Block D RT33 No. 62, Alalak, Barito Kuala District (Batola), South Kalimantan, on Tuesday (16/9). “When the raid at the suspect’s house, found in his backpack blue packages containing methamphetamine and ecstasy,” the police chief said.

Crystal meth is 1404.47 grams net weight found wrapped in 26 packets. While ecstasy pills wrapped in a hundred and two hundred pills per package.

The suspect claimed he was just a courier. Suspect said the goods were obtained from Pontianak, West Kalimantan. “Not only once. He admits it is the fifth,” he said.

In addition to evidence of methamphetamine and ecstasy, police also seized money divided in three accounts. The amount is about one hundred million IDR.

The suspects subject to Article 132 paragraph (1) sub 114 (2) more sub Article 112 (2) of the Law on Narcotics, under penalty of five years in prison.
