Carnival to nurture spirit of cooperation

KUCHING: Five uniformed bodies took part in the Institut Pendidkan Guru Kampus Batu Lintang Co-curriculum Carnival at the teachers training college recently.

They are Malaysian Red Crescent Society, Girl Guides Cadet, Puteri Islam Malaysia, KLM 29 Scouts and Junior Cadet School Tunas.

The event organised by PISMP Students Semester 4 was inaugurated by the Director of IPG Kampus Batu Lintang Awang Hambali Awang Hamdan.

Head of co-curriculum units for IPGK Batu Lintang Amy Dusin and coordinator of sports and games Puspaleela Habibie Norlela Abdullah planned the activities throughout the carnival such as setting up tents and making gadgets, marching and cooking competition and also sports competitions such as netball, futsal and sepak takraw.

KLM 29 Scout emerged as the overall champion of the carnival.

The carnival is organised every year to expose the students to the basic aspects of the camp as well as nurture a spirit of cooperation, compromise, and two-way communication during the activity.

Awang Hambali gave away the prizes.
