MIRI: State Secretary Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Gani flagged off the MAKSAK Run at Dataran Jubli Emas in Limbang yesterday.
Six categories – Veteran Men’s Open, Veteran Women’s Open, Men’s Open, Women’s Open, VIPs and Briskwalking – were completed in the event.
Manis Bardi and Lim Chuan Kok emerged champions in the Veteran Women’s and Veteran Men’s races respectively.
Fiona Achang walked away with the Women’s Open title, Adenan Hassan in the Men’s Open and Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat in the VIP.
About 500 participated in the run which commenced at 7am.
Sideline activities such as aerobic exercise and a lucky draw were also carried out.
Mohamad Morshidi gave away the prizes. Sarawak Federal Secretary Datuk Md Yahaya Basimin and Limbang Resident Maria Hasman were also present at the closing ceremony.
