KUCHING: A man lodged a police report over the apparent disappearance of his cousin since his return here from Australia earlier this month but who has not been seen since.

The complainant Goh said his 73-year-old cousin Ng Hong Lian @ Ng Hong Kheng frequently travelled between Kuching and Australia and had called his (Ng’s) younger sister to inform her that he would be flying back here via Singapore in early September.

When no one was able to get hold of the retired civil servant after he was supposed to have arrived here, relatives contacted Ng’s son David, who works in Singapore, to check with immigration authorities there.

Goh said David was told by Singapore immigration officers that their records showed his father had indeed arrived at the city-state from Australia prior to departure for Kuching.

He added that he had even gone to his cousin’s house at Jalan Peace off Jalan Tun Razak, but found no one there and was told by neighbours that they too have not seen Ng since early May. Upon David’s request, Goh lodged a police report over Ng’s apparent disappearance and urged anyone who may know of his current whereabouts to help locate him.
