BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: West Banjarmasin Sector Police (Polsekta) caught one of two hypnosis criminals who victimised, M Yusuf (38), a resident of Jalan Mantuil, Gang Asparagus Rt 24 NO 02, Village South Kelayan, with a loss of Rp8 million, Antaranews reported.
“It happened on Wednesday (17/9), the victim claimed exposed to hypnosis by two people in Jalan Belda, Gang Bina Karya front of mushalla, Village Belitung,” said Chief of Polsekta Kompol HM Uskiansyah on Friday (19/9).
According to Uskiansyah, only one perpetrator was caught named Budi Sukmono (48), a resident of Sragen, Central Java. While other criminalidentified as Rusbandi still on the run.
The victim told, he was deceived by both criminal who told him he had a die traits in his body. He who was hypnotized gave the money asked by perpetrators as dowry for salvation to eliminate the pernicious traits.
Dazed, the victim told to buy seven needles and a cap, which was mentioned as a condition solemnize to eliminate disastrous traits in his body.
“The victim claimed to follow it, then go to the market wanted, until in on the way, he realized was deceived and hypnotized. Quickly went back, it turns out the two men were not in place,” he said.
The victim quickly informed the police. With the help of friends of the victim, eventually one of the criminal caught at Jalan Zafri Zamzam.
Perpetrators caught, Budi Sukmono, admitted that he had twice done “gendam”, the term hypnosis in Banjarese language. Previously, he and Rusbandi (the perpetrator on the run), deceived people with money received Rp600 thousand in Batulicin during Ramadan .
