Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah Presents Medals to Winners

INCHEON, KOREA: His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah, the President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council (BDNOC) consented to officiate the medal presentation ceremony for the Fencing event – Women’s Sabre Individual at the 17th Asian Games in Incheon, Republic of Korea, Brudirect reported.

Accompanying His Royal Highness was the Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to the Republic of Korea, His Excellency Dato Paduka Haji Harun bin Haji Ismail.

In the final of the Fencing category, Women’s Sabre Individual, the athlete from the host country, Lee Rajin defeated her compatriot, Kim Jiye On 15-11.

His Royal Highness also consented to watch the Men’s Epee Individual which also saw the host country athletes competing against each other, Jung Jinsun and Park Kyoungdoo. The bout was won by Jung Jinsun 15-9.

His Royal Highness then consented to officiate the medal presentation for the Women’s Sabre Individual. The gold and silver medals went respectively to Lee Rajin and Kim Jiye On from the Republic of Korea while joint-bronze went to Li Fei and Shen Chen from China.
