BINTULU: An Indonesian man carrying out painting work on top of a building in Parkcity Commercial Centre died after falling from the first floor of the building about 7.30am yesterday.
He died on the spot. It is believed that he had just climbed a ladder before slipping.
According to one of his colleagues at the scene, he earlier reminded the man to be extra cautious due to the slippery condition of the platform.
But not long after that, he said he heard something fall and was surprised to see the man struggling in pain while lying in a pool of blood.
Other workers at the scene then called the ambulance and a few minutes later the medical team, police and Civil Defence Department personnel arrived.
The body was then sent to the Forensic Unit of Bintulu Hospital for post-mortem.
