BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: His Majesty the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and the Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to attend a luncheon hosted by Ban Ki-Moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations, ©BRUDIRECT.COM reported.
The luncheon was held at North Delegates Lounge, Conference Building, United Nations’ Headquarters in New York.
On arrival, His Majesty was welcomed by the Secretary-General of the United Nations.
The luncheon was in honour of the Heads of State and Government participating in the 69th General Assembly of the United Nations.
On Tuesday evening, His Majesty and Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha consented to attend a reception hosted by Barack Obama, President of the United States and the First Lady Mrs Michelle Obama.
The reception was held at The Waldorf Astoria. On arrival, Their Majesties were welcomed by the US President and his spouse.
The reception was held in honour of the Heads of State and Government attending the 69th General Assembly of the United Nations.
