Dozens of residents netted in Banjar KTP raid

MARTAPURA, South Kalimantan: Dozens of residents netted in identity card (KTP) raid conducted by a joint team of the scope of the relevant agencies of the Government of Banjar District, Antaranews reported.

Raid conducted on Thursday, on the front of Banjar Regent Office Km 40 Jalan Ahmad Yani, Martapura, involving dozens of members of Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) personnel and supported by dozens of military/police.

“The purpose of the raid is to enforce local regulation No. 2 of 2012 on population administration,” said Chief of Satpol PP Ahmadi on the sidelines of raid.

He said that every member of society netted for not carry ID cards undergoing trial in place and fined Rp50 thousand.

He described, the financial penalties in accordance with Article 86 Regulation No. 2 of 2012 which mentions any resident who travels does not carry ID card will be fined.

“The target of the raid are a two-wheeler riders, biker including pedestrians. If you can not show ID, then hearing directly at the place and fined,” he said.

According to him, the object of the raid is the ID card so that members of the public who do not carry KTP even though he shows SIM (driver’s license) or other letters of identity he remain in the trial.
