KUCHING: Policemen in Sarawak have been ordered to monitor, as well as conduct patrols and checks at premises with automated teller machines (ATM) to avoid hacking of the ATMs.
Sarawak police commissioner Datuk Wira Sabtu Osman said the police would also monitor the presence of Latin American citizens in the state.
“So far, there is no report (hacking of ATM) in Sarawak, but we have reminded all quarters to conduct patrol and checks at ATMs,” he added.
He told this to reporters after the Sarawak police monthly assembly here today. –BERNAMA
