Foreign worker breaks leg when log fell on him

KUCHING: A foreign factory worker broke his leg when a log from a newly-arrived load fell on him at about 8pm on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old victim from Indonesia was working at a jetty at a plywood factory in Pending when the mishap happened.

According to co-workers, the victim was handling a load of newly-delivered logs from a ship when a log came loose and fell on his left leg.

Those around him immediately rushed to lift the log off his leg and take him to Sarawak General Hospital.

He is reported to be in a stable condition.

The victim grimaces as he arrives at the hospital following the incident.
