KOTA KINABALU: A teenage boy was charged in the Magistrate’s Court here yesterday with killing his colleague last year.
The juvenile who was brought before Justice Stephen Chung, was charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code which provides for the mandatory death sentence upon conviction.
The accused, who was a restaurant worker at that time, was alleged to have murdered his workmate, aged 20, at a house at Lorong 13 of Kampung Sembulan here at 4.36 am on May 21, 2013.
The court set December 11 this year for case management.
Deputy public prosecutor Ahmad Nazneen Zulkifli told the court that the prosecution would produce 10 witnesses to testify against the accused.
The boy, who was represented by counsels Ram Singh, Rizwandean Bukhari M Borhan and Yusri Pungut, was ordered to be further held in custody, pending disposal of the case.
