MIRI: Employers have been urged to prioritise the welfare and health of their workers and engage with them through fun activities.

Assistant Minister of Sports Datuk Lee Kim Shin made this call when he officiated at the 6th Beach Soccer Tournament organised by Fully Group of Companies at Beach Republic here yesterday.

“It is important that employers care about the welfare and health of their workers because through activities like sports, employers and workers will get to know each other better and help build team spirit,” he said.

Lee believed that such activities make employees appreciated and that eventually translates into greater productivity.

He congratulated the Fully Group for organising the event.

“I hope other companies or organisations here would take the same step as it is a good activity not only in promoting a healthy way of living but also to build stronger rapport between the employer and employees,” he added.

About 50 Fully Group of Companies employees took part in the annual soccer tournament.

Fully Group of Companies managing director Lim Eng Thang was also present.
