2 nabbed for possessions of syabu

TEMBURONG: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Temburong District with the cooperation of the Royal Customs and Excise Department have detained a foreign national and a local man for questioning. They were caught while in possession of the drug syabu or methylamphetamine, Brudirect reported.

The two 35-year-old men were taken into custody by enforcement officers when they entered the temporary Labu Control Post in Temburong. An inspection of their vehicle produced several packets believed to contain 214.15 grammes of the drug syabu, as well as several improvised utensils believed to have been used in consuming controlled substances.

Also confiscated were Brunei and foreign currencies. The drug bust was the biggest by the Narcotics Control Bureau’s Temburong District Branch to date.
