‘Work not for financial sake’: Acting Labour Commissioner

KUALA BELAIT: Job seekers are urged to be brave in facing challenges and to think positively to gain a wider employment scope and to not be tied to the concept of only working for the sake of receiving salary, Brudirect reported.

The advice was made by the Acting Labour Commissioner, Awg Haji Rani bin Begawan Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Seri Setia Haji Mohd Yusof at the launch of the Technical and Vocational Education (TVET) Open Day at the Kuala Belait Conference Hall.

Awg Haji Rani emphasised the private sector or employers is one of the important components in tackling the unemployment issue in the country. He said the continuous support from such parties is needed in providing job opportunities to locals.

The open day saw participation from twenty one private companies in the country. The two day event is also an initiative of the Brunei Technical Education Institute in helping job seekers in finding employment especially new graduates.
